PLACE: Westminister,
London
NEAREST TUBE
STOP: Westminister
WHAT THEY GOT: More
curbs and a few rails. There are lots of nice curbs in the square right outside the
train station. They're all real well waxed, and at different heights. There
are anumber of curbs alongside stairs that are real cool. There's also a few short
hand rails, and a couple of low guard rails in the area.
PLACE: Marble Arch,
London
NEAREST TUBE STOP: Marble Arch
WHAT THEY GOT: Once
again, more curbs and stairs. Just outside the station on Park Lane, there is a
small square with some low curbs and lots of wooden benches. There is also a guard
rail around some grass that is about 2 feet high. Across the street on Park Lane is
The Blue Room, a real good skate / snowboarding shop. It's one of the biggest in
London and has everything from jeans to bolts to skates. They also have an
indoor mini ramp that you can skate on for an hour with a 25.00 or greater purchase, and
FULL protective gear.
PLACE: Play Station
Skate Park
NEAREST TUBE STOP: Ladbroke Grove
(Hammersmith and City Line)
WHAT THEY GOT: Everything!
It's underneath the A 40 in London, so it is skatable in the rain. They have a full
vert, an 8 foot half pipe, and a full street course complete with handrails and oversized
fun boxes. It's great when there are not too many people, but on weekends, there are
250 kids easy, and it is not that big. To get to it, exit the station, take a left
under the A 40, and then a right...that will lead you to it. It is on Ackland Road.
